Solutions in Chile
Pacific Hydro’s run-of-river hydro power plants in Chile generate clean and renewable energy that is supplied within the country’s Central Interconnected System (SIC).
The majority of our electricity is sold to Chile’s state-owned copper company CODELCO and to Chilectra, the largest distributor in the country, under long term contracts, in addition to various business customers in the spot market.
We are active in the Chilean Non-Renewable Energy Credits market and some of our operating projects are registered under the Kyoto Protocol’s Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) to issue and trade in carbon credits.
Visit Pacific Hydro Chile’s website for more information about our local solutions.
