Pacific Hydro Australia

The Australian renewable energy industry is set for a revolution, the scale of which has not been seen since the Snowy Mountains Scheme was developed more than half a century ago.

It is anticipated that up to A$20 billion is to be invested in new carbon-free electricity generation over the next decade, and Pacific Hydro, as a leading Australian renewable energy company, will play a key role in this growing market.

Under the Federal Government’s renewable energy target, more than 6,000 MW of new wind power is intended to be developed by 2020. As a pioneer of the Australian wind energy industry, Pacific Hydro is well placed to build on its existing portfolio of wind farms and aims to capture a significant portion of the Australian wind power market.

Our operating assets in Australia currently abate an estimated 900,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas pollution every year.
